I choose to Step into the Rusher. He’s a tough one though. His Shade is fighting for his body. I can sense his fear, his panic. He pleads, "Get out! Leave me alone!", but there’s nothing he can do. Now I'm in control of the Rusher. I turn to the last Ascendant, a Gunner, who's frozen with shock. Should he attack his comrade? Run away? |
I walk around him, positioning myself so that he stands between me and an explosive canister. The Gunner decides to attack, but I’m faster. I pierce through him, dragging him with me as I hit the explosive canister behind him. This is when I decide to return to my body. The Rusher and his comrade are stuck next to the canister, which explodes, injuring them both. Now, I can get to the hideout and Vincent. |
|
As I walk toward the hideout, I hear a scream from behind me. I turn, not expecting the Rusher to be standing up, using his spear as a cane. He resumes his combat position. I have to admit, I respect his resilience. He slams his spear to the ground. If it’s a fight that he wants, I will give him one. I’m not able to Step again, but I could wait for him to attack first. I could also torment him a bit more by Shrouding myself to regain an element of surprise. |
