The Brawler attacks with all his might, but as the hit comes down on me, I parry it with my shield, turn on myself and follow-up with a heavy kick to his ribs. He trips, tries to bounce back quickly to hit me, but all his attacks are parried the same way. I hit his ribs one last time before I feel them break. His eyes close as he falls to the ground, unconscious. |

I turn to the remaining Ascendants. Two more to go before I make it into the hideout. Vincent can send all the goons he wants. I will not stop until I find him. |

I can see the hideout just beyond the remaining Ascendants. Vincent will be there. I'm so close to exacting my vengeance. Only two more to go. The Rusher hits the ground with his electric spear. The Gunner raises his weapon, ready to shoot. "Stand your ground! We can take down one cowardly Quaestor." "You won’t be stealing our minds! We’re no puppets!" Even though there are only two of them, I must be careful. This Rusher looks tough. Can I take him one-on-one? I crack my knuckles. I need to win this fight. I need to be strong enough to defeat Vincent. |
